BREAST AUGMENTATION
Breast Augmentation, or augmentation mammoplasty, is one of the most frequently performed cosmetic surgery procedures in the United States. Breast augmentation creates a fuller, more enhanced breast shape using breast implants. Breast Augmentation can also help correct unevenly sized breasts that have developed from birth, post-pregnancy and even post-weight-loss. Patients often combine this procedure with other breast sculpting procedures (such as a breast lift) to maximize their aesthetic breast surgery results.
Placed behind each breast and underneath either breast tissue or more typically the chest wall muscle, breast implants are silicone shells filled with either saline (salt water) or cohesive silicone gel. Breast Augmentation is safely performed under general anesthesia administered in our office surgical suite by an experienced Board Certified Anesthesiologist.
BREAST LIFT (MASTOPEXY)
A Breast Lift or mastopexy, is performed to recreate a more youthful breast shape and to lift breasts that have sagged as a result of the effects of aging and gravity, weight loss, pregnancy or the natural loss of the skin’s elasticity. The procedure can also reduce the areolar size (dark skin surrounding the nipple), and it can be combined with breast reduction or augmentation for added firmness or volume.
BREAST REDUCTION
Also known as Reduction Mammoplasty, a breast reduction removes excess breast fatty tissue, glandular tissue, and skin to achieve a more proportionate breast size and alleviate the discomfort associated with overly large breasts, including shoulder pain, bra strap grooving and even breast fold rashes.
BREAST RECONSTRUCTION
Dr. Connors's breast reconstruction procedures, using either breast implants or a patient’s own tissue through flap elevation and rotation techniques, aim to restore the breast to a normal shape, appearance, and size, reversing the effects of mastectomy, trauma, or even congenital breast deformities.
